...just to follow up: I've been playing over the bank holiday (bought some stronger Rico Reserve reeds) and I'm absolutely delighted. I'll definiitely recommend the Venus to others ... it really feels on a par with my previous Yamaha (several hundred pounds now). Even the case is high quality.
